Bellefonte, Pennsylvania · Since 1888

Caring for Centre County families for six generations.

When Edwin Albright opened the doors of this building in 1888, he made a promise to the families of Bellefonte: dignity, discretion, and unwavering presence in their hour of need. One hundred and thirty-eight years later, the sixth generation of his family keeps that promise.

Our Promise

A funeral home built to outlast the family it serves.

Albright & Sons is the oldest continuously-operated funeral home in Centre County. The building you see was raised in 1888 from Bellefonte brick and limestone quarried at Pleasant Gap. The Albright family has lived in the apartment above it ever since.

We have laid to rest five Centre County mayors, four presidents of the Bellefonte Academy, and over twelve thousand of our neighbors. Every funeral, every cremation, every pre-arrangement is overseen personally by a member of the Albright family. We do not subcontract. We do not delegate. We are the funeral home our grandparents trusted.

In Their Words
"When my father passed in 1962, Mr. William Albright came to our house himself before sunrise. When my husband passed in 2004, Richard came. When my mother passed last winter, it was James who came. Three generations of the same family. That is what Bellefonte means."
